Don't know what happened to my votes with two posts but this one hung together better for me - little repetitive but definite rhythm kept the groove going!!
don't make it your last!! - nice flowing melody lines - articulation working well - good one!!
lots of good ideas here - keep at it and the flow will come!! - don't be afraid to keep it simple but solid!!
wicked tone - timing and articulation seemed to be off in some rhythmic riffs - liked the melody ideas you had going!!!
muchas gracias a todos por sus comentarios son muy alentadores! Bubba did not understand what you mean, thank you again and in the coming days I will be uploading something new!
Esa armonica suena muy bien! No se porque me hacia acordar un poco a Sonny, pero sin marine band :)
mi bueno...lots of charisma in your playing.
Wait...it's gettin better...hold on wait...and better...hows it gonna finish......IncreĆble. Mas porvavor!
You should of put this one in main jam, it is fantastic
What is this doing in this room, i was bord as i am sick at home, came in by chance and found a harp player that is a cut above the rest OMG wicked!!!
lots of interesting ideas here - not sure where I sit on the tone - nice tremolo in spots and that 'beating' works well - solo work is tough and I think you've shown you've got it!!
like the approach and attitude you played with - keep them coming - other comments apply for me as well but man, you've got promise!!
nice articulation and rhythmic riffs - nice flow to riffs - good one!!
you are all overt this one but this is your groove!! - solid take with your energy level at overdrive!!
Ezequiel..I'm glad you came by the site man. You're a great player. My advice...repost this on main stage my man. Muchas gracias Amigo.
Magnifico!!! We have another teenage prodigy in our midst. What an unbelievable debut. You been getting blood transfusions from Jason Ricci amigo?
I once heard a very similar on a recording of Joe Satriani, where he played the harmonica and sang with distortion too ... very confortable!
ohhhhh muy lindo! Delta Sound!
I like that sound bluesy!
Wow, you are one hell of a harmonica player. Let's here more!
Good stuff, and welcome on-board. Please feel free to introduce yourself in the Forum.
I Like it................
Very nice sound. Good runs that really remind me of that butterfield style.
Good chug, good sound for SS, loose structure but developed a life of its own somehow. Good experiment and something to build on.
A bit of a struggle with this one. I think it needed more of a foundation
Best version I've heard yet. Great ending, too.
Out-bloody-effing-standing! Gotta have my Floppy Fix! Spare playing brought your unique vibe to the front. It's like my liver and pancreas fighting over who gets broiled up for Jeffrey Dahmer in the afterlife.
I'd like to hear you play something like this with a pure acoustic sound, and little/no electronic intervention
Breathing through this little thang called a harp, is a gas!
Wow, dug it totally! A pleasure to listen to more than once.
You're working hard on the changes. When you're comfortable with that, listen to the beat of the drummer and try to play with it. Find the groove. Stick around and you'll get there.
Bob, Thank your for your comments. I started with every intent of a straight forward acoustic rendition of the standard. Then from 00:18 on it was spur of the moment seat of the pants lets see how this sounds, which seemed appropriate for Open Mic ;-)
Some nice riffs and turnarounds in this, but as to your goal of getting a sound, it is very thin. There's probably some effects in your software to fatten up your sound. I can hear the potential.
Good upload. Solid tone, Started ala'Butterfield, and mixed the rest with your own
Now this I can hear. It needs to tighten up, but the musical ideas are great and the tone is to die for. You've always had killer tone, even before the Fat Dog. I had problems with this BT, I think it's harder than it seems.
You're working to hit the changes, that's a good start. In time, you'll play with more confidence and it will really show. Hang around here about a year and you'll get there.
Wow, if this were East-West instead of Born in Chicago, you'da outdone Butterfield! Pretty good overall, sounds like you have a unique angle on harp.
I'm a big fan as you know, but I couldn't hear this one. The intro and outro and some turnarounds were fine, but the rhythm threw me. From 2:00, it sounded good. Mighta been me. Seriously.
Where did you fine the vocals for this nice job
Wasn't lacking tone! Phat sound to it.
has mr. butterfield entered the room. nice stuff!!
Great job Ken...Keep up the good work! :)
Welcome to the Jam. In places there's almost a middle-eastern flavor to this one e.g. 00:25 to 0030, that would sound cool to further develop with the bt
Welcome to the Jam. You picked a tough key of harp (short of a low-F), but kept a handle on it.
Well...I hate to cast my own vote. I'm just checking out the website, figuring out how things work.
@Eric Stahl. "It was from not playing deeply from the gut." Thanks for the confirmation Eric. I have a harpist friend here in Indy who asked the same question. He gave me some "bending" exercises as a result.
I liked the combo of piano with your singing. Harp was icing on the cake
Welcome back Kenny. I like the places that you went with this. Not sure if spots like 2:11 to 2:13 were from briefly not playing deep enough from the gut, or a recording spike that clipped a little, or a little of both
Welcome to the Jam! Good start - clean notes, bends, chords. Keep working at familiarity with the harp. Carry and play it constantly, along with the music that you enjoy
nice sound sure we will hear it in the future
good to hear that song to start cause its amount full off treasures.
you got it right first the mind on blues breath will follow! choose your path and folklow!! so for the x factor your on to the next round!!
loud and proud great sound and fine playing with it!good to hear some suckers do that
$$$$tlol
Berel, I understand starting out. Work on your individual notes and put three to four note combos together. It's not just about inhale/exhale. Keep posting.
Tried again and it would not let me so I must have? Fairly new to site
Berel Ives, thanks for the compliment. Did you forget to vote? Just checking. :)
enjoyed the different runs on the pattern
You seem to take anyone's BT and make it your own music, as though each author is doing it just for you...good job!
floppy lips, you have a very unique style all your own...and I like it. I like your sound, style and the off-beat way you put your package together.
I loved it! That Solo stayed "crunchy" even in Milk. I want to get my sound like that through this Audacity software and I see you have more than a mic plugged into the computer. But I digress...great job!
Good to be back guys! Eric I dug the wobble theme throughout and the journey the song took me on. I will have to go over to the Main Stage and hear the updated version.
Such urgency, driven by vibrato and your singing, just great Sander!
Welcome back Kenny, you've been woodshedding, very nice playing - got better and better as it went on!
The B_T ran out while you were still jamin' with it. Soundin nice floppy!
picking up right where you left off!! - solid for rhythm, tone and melody lines - waited for the vocals to make sure it was you ;-) love how you get that energy coming out!! wish it could be bottled so I could get some!
you sure got that thing 'honking' - great crunch tone!! - nice breaks in rhythm and melody structure - coming on strong Mike!! - good one!!!
super opening licks - yup, cold must be better - and your 'cold' version was pretty fin!!! - well done!!
sounds like a lifetime but it isnt!
Expressive, individual and very nice ...
use the time to stretch a lil more and especially when you got rearly near to be, good one!
pro sound but watch the backbeat
Sounds good, Your main stage is better
Although great in it's on right, I like the one on the main stage much better.
