Lips Angelo Lips Angelo Hi all you fellow harp players out there! Im 45 and live in a lovely rural area about an hour n/e of Toronto. I got motivated to learn blues harp after being in New Orleans in 2002. Been playing around 5 years now. Love this site and the diversity of talent and hearing how everyone has a different take on a song. Taking some lessons with Carlos del Junco starting in January. Well see if I make any progress. Got to have a little jam with him, which was pretty cool.

A little about myself         Born, played drums soon after being born, school, work - jam, learn some bass and guitar. Picked up harp late 2002, sing a little, tiny bit of bypass surgery in 2004 (no..I am not old), then more harping after I got my wind back....whew! Love the blues, love Canada and our brews.

End of the Sidewalk
''Some really nice interplay with the guitar Mike.I feel the big compressed sound of the harp is a little overpowering of the acoustic slide guitar;might be that I thought this bt destined for country blues interpretation-and I went that way with it.''

End of the Sidewalk
''I'll post an acoustic version in the open mic guys. I just ended up liking this one.''

Thats What You Do
''Wow, Mike, different for you and max moody. Only thing I might've done is shorten the Btrack by 2 minutes, more or less. You said a lot in three minutes.''
   --BeelzeBob

Thats What You Do
''Nice mood piece Mike, more laid back than your usual attack. Good raspy tone. Fit the BT well overall.''
   --Brett

RFB
''Good but not to the "groove" of the track. Like you were in half time. To me, this track calls for quick lines like the horn parts. Well it's what I was thinking when I composed it LOL.''
   --dblues

RFB
''To my ears this is one of the best of your solos, if not the best. Maybe a bit more tight touch to the rhythm would have made this excellent. You are on the way to the top now Lips!''
   --Frosty

RFB
''Nice tone and note choice Mike.I think you could attack a bit more right on the beat with staccato attack for this one. Even DBlues said that's a difficult task!''

   --Brown Ale Guy

A Very Mellow Fellow
''The intro is more difficult than most people think.you "missed " a few notes. TonyH described the intro in the forum. Halfway through the song there was a better flow but the breaks were a bit odd.. esp the one just before the ending.''
