Rick Rick Welcome to the Online Jam! I have been running the harmonica jam online since 2001. I will do a spasm of programming, and then a spasm of writing and playing music. Right now I am in a programming spasm, so I do not have any new music up. Musically, I practice a bit and mostly get to listen to the great stuff everyone else is putting up. This is really just a practice site, the goal is to make practice fun since you know that someone will be listening to your output, but wow, the guys sure do output some great music!

A little about myself         I have played off and on, mostly off, since I was 16. I think my early instrument choices were driven a lot by cost. I got pretty good on the Jews Harp. I next progressed to a Hohner harmonica which cost about $5 at the time. That was the Cadillac of instruments for me. In college I tried to learn piano and guitar but I was a terrible self teacher and it never occurred to me to take lessons. I remember spending hours practicing piano while reading a book. I thought music was purely a motor skill and I could save time and do two things at once. I actually learned to play a couple of complex songs that way, "Beale Street Blues" comes to mind. But it was not much of a learning strategy. At any rate, I did eventually become a pretty good guitar strummer, although everything I did was a variation of one particular strum. But man, I had that strum down! I put my trusty harmonica in a rack and it was like playing piano again, doing two things at once. I wrote a bunch of bad music. And then the internet hit, and I decided to blend my musical and programming interests and create this really bad site. Or maybe it is a really good site. Pssst, do you wanna listen to some music? We got lots of it. Streaming Jam!

''Wish I could give you even more points, but if you wanted that you could probably just program it to do that. Fun piece, even if harp opportunities are somewhat limited.''

''Good pkg. Rick. I did notice that the B-track has some timing errors in it. You seem to be rushing the beat some of the time.''
