        BeelzeBob BeelzeBob

A little about myself         heard a lot of R&B growing up in DC, but heard Sonny Boy II at age 18 and bought harps the next day. Not a natural musically, but I can hang in I-IV-V. Favorites are SB2, Butter, and Dick. Starting to appreciate the new wave of guys like del Junco, Levy, etc.

''A little hesitant in some places, sounding like your still looking notes to fit the chords. Overall good though with the right New Orleans feel''

''Your playing is sounding smoother and smoother. Good melody. As you say, you've got the scale. I hear you working on moving from note to note with some slight syncopation issues''
           --Eric Stahl

        That Funny Gal O Mine
''Started with most parts with the same note again. Got more interesting later on because you actually listen to the chords very well. Didn't you do a version on a chromatic harmonica with the original melody at YouTube? Can't find the link any more.''
           --Windsaver

        That Funny Gal O Mine
''One of your best solos. Long notes and everything ;-) Nice jazz feeling. You seem to be at home with natural minor harp.''

        That Funny Gal O Mine
''sweet clear tone - straight out of "big band" era - nice flowing melody lines with crisp articulation - I find it tough to play minor keys in 2nd but you sure nailed it here - liked it!''
           --htrain

        Hackensack Hop
''liked the playing very much, but seems like computer/program latency is causing a behind the beat effect''
           --dmb

        Hackensack Hop
''Some very nice melodic moments. On the other hand to my ears you were a bit too much behind the beat or out of rhythm in many places, which took the swing and groove away. It comes better with practise. You could also end some phrases with a long note.''
           --Frosty

        Hackensack Hop
''@Windsaver/Ed/SloppyDrooler: Thanks for the tips, I'm trying to get to that point. Maybe you could take a shot at this BT and show us how it's done!''
           --BeelzeBob

        Hackensack Hop
''I did have it modded Beelz. It didn't sound great, but I sent it to David Kott in Syracuse and it came back sounding much more harpy :) Merci!!''
           --Lips Angelo

        Hackensack Hop
''Oh yeah - nailed it BB - solid swinging groove - nice bright tone - nice clean bent notes - kept it moving top to end!! - good one!!''

           --7LimitJI

        Hackensack Hop
''Great energy and groove Beez, this has a real New Orleans street band sound. Thanks for all the great BTs. And get an F harp - there are way too many songs in C to go without one!''
           --Brett

        Hackensack Hop
''You're all over this BT. Kept my head bobbing with the melody. Beeze is that you playing acoustic guitar on some of your BT's?''
           --Ringer

        Hackensack Hop
''Definitely got that bounce/swing. Try to vary your melodies more. Most of the time you start on the root note of the BT or chords. Experiment to create some tension and make it more interesting to listen to.''
           --Windsaver

        Hackensack Hop
''Hey, check out the "sort by" options under "song" on the menu bar. That's new, isn't it? Or am I slow on the uptake?''
